Tired is as Tired does.
Tiredness has made me blogapathetic. That is the technical term for being too apathetic to write anything, and also for the outcome of blogging when I have absolutely no news - that the blog will be pathetic.
I am barely beyond that point now - have been sneaking in a few little rides, but nothing much to report. That is what I have struggled with for the last (almost a) year - that I just don't get inspired to photograph and document my rides - they lack the adventure, the exoticism, the mystery of my rides in Japan. Anyway, as I am sure my extensive reader base will be dying for at least some news of any kind, I thought I would tell you about my new tyre:
Here it is posing on its maiden ride. Big, fat, round, black, grippy. All good stuff in a tyre. Oh yeah, and it was cheap - another very important factor. For the geeks out there, it is a Maxxis Ardent 29x2.4. Fat and good.
Here is my bike sparkling and shining in the sunshine:
And here is a happy friend I met on another ride a few weeks ago that I hadn't posted yet - this dude was well over a metre long!
A bit shy, but he did stop and pose for the camera. Very considerate.
That's all I got.

Kurisu,
As a loyal reader of your blog, thanks for write up!
Ardent 29x2.4 has tall knobby, big volume, nice pattern. While Running Stout, Rampage, Purgatory and Mountain King for full rigid front end, I found Ardent was the one of the best for Osaka style.
You are missing some mystery rides but we Single Tomo no Kai missing "Kurisu rides". We are going to have BIG ride'n party weekend at beginning of March. All crazy members includes Waka, Kaki and Ferrari man are coming, so why don't you come and show us your metre long buddy;-)

Hey Aki!
Thanks for the comment. I'd love to come and ride and party with you guys, I miss SS-tomo-no-kai very much. I'm thinking about my future now, but I have to stay here at least this year - I need to save money and get experience. I have no idea yet what the future holds for me, but I don't want the adventure to stop (and living in Brisbane isn't much adventure for me...).
Please say HI to everyone for me!
And yep, I've only had one ride so far, but I like the Ardent. We have mostly loose gravel and dusty dry trails here, and it's much better than the WeirWolf - much more grip, but a bit slower. It's Ok though, I am not a racer-boy!
Kurisu,
I know you ALWAYS on the right side of the track, so don't worry and take it easy, my bro!
This evening we have "small beer party" for Kainsai CX race. Some of your friends are coming so I will say hi and cheer for you.
-Aki
