Way more interesting than mosquitos.

This is very cool.

Tiny Monsters again.

I was inspired after the first "tiny monster' photo, and soon after took one of a gecko. Didn't work out too well - was gloomy and blurred, but today I tried again, got this. A dessicated mosquito. A bit too small to get any detail, even on super-macro. Still fun.

I especially like the way one can see the texture of the paper. That is normal printer paper - looks so rough!

Out for a ride on sunset and...

WHOOPS! THAT'S NOT A LOG!!!

This bad boy musta been close to three metres in length. Biggest snake I've seen in a long time.

I scrambled to drag my phone out to take photos, dropping my licence and money in the dirt in the process, but it was worth it. (I picked them up afterwards)

Nice ride too - not too warm, dry and dusty trails, all to myself. Cold beer waiting for me at home - a honey wheat brew.

Nice.

Time...

...keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin...into the future.

Another assignment down - that's four submitted, four to go (plus a test and a seminar).

Tired. sleep has eluded me for the last two nights. Must need to be busier, I didn't have this problem a month ago.

Speaking of months, less than two to go now. But who's counting?

Back to the books now, ride later. I might take photos, but don't hold your breath.

Back in the Saddle (again)

New bar arrived today, after a quick date with a pipe cutter and some paint stripper, it got bolted on, and, whaddyaknow, it works.

I'm used to a bit more sweep than this, but for the price, I can't complain. First test ride said it was (no surprise) stiffer than the carbon bar, but in many cases I think that's not a bad thing (least of all breaking). Steering was definitely snappier. I like it.

Only rode for an hour - arm hurt a bit from the jolting. To be expected, I think. Still got big scabs, but am getting there. Just a matter of days now.

Trails are soooo dusty and dry. It's like trying to ride on ball bearings mixed with talcum powder. Good to get out however the karma gods got me again - flat tyre. Sheesh.

I miss it.

Finally some news.

Shame it's bad.

Karma is a bitch, should have been studying, went for a ride....crash.

Made a mess of my arm too. Thanks to L for patching me up.
