Out for a ride on sunset and...
WHOOPS! THAT'S NOT A LOG!!!
This bad boy musta been close to three metres in length. Biggest snake I've seen in a long time.
I scrambled to drag my phone out to take photos, dropping my licence and money in the dirt in the process, but it was worth it. (I picked them up afterwards)
Nice ride too - not too warm, dry and dusty trails, all to myself. Cold beer waiting for me at home - a honey wheat brew.
Nice.

3m of snake... Is he the trail boss?
I did ride with Eiji on the triple crown this Sunday and my front wheel stamped a snake (1m) in all innocence... Eiji claimed me and finally we found my front wheel had some ”snake bites” in spite of running tubeless;-(

Hey Aki! I think that snake was KOM - King of the Mountain! We don't see ones that big very often, and mostly on hiking or MTB trails!
Triple Crown sounds great - how was your new bike? It looks sooo beautiful!
p.s. I sorry that it's so late, but I will send your King HS bearing cover today or tomorrow...I haven't forgotten. I'm also looking around now for a new bike for next year...can't decide!
So considering that everything in Australia can kill you - is that a poisonous snake?
Hey Trace,
No, that's just a python, aka a carpet snake (because people thought the pattern on its skin looked like carpet...Aussies, what can you do?)
He was pretty mellow, probably COULD kill you, as it is like a small anaconda, but they are generally only interested in things they can eat. Still, I kept a respectable distance (about two meters...).
disgusting!!
Hi Kosaka-sensei!
