Two sad days.

Sad, but happy.

Yesterday and today I said goodbye to two of my schools - I don't know if I'll be back there in the new school year from April, and it was really sad. They made me presents, one class even wrote and sang a song for me! These are small, country elementary schools, lovely, friendly, warm places with great teachers and wonderful kids.

For those of you who put up with my whining last year - thank you. I've realized this week the rewards of this job are more than monetary (thank goodness). I'm lucky, and I'm glad I'll be staying on for at least another year.

It's cool to be a hero. Even if it's just for the little people.
